The Nepal Athletics Association (NAA) is the national governing body for athletics in Nepal, dedicated to promoting and developing the sport across the nation. Established in 1956, NAA is affiliated with World Athletics and the Asian Athletics Association (AAA), playing a pivotal role in organizing and overseeing athletics competitions in Nepal.
History
Athletics has a rich history in Nepal, with the Nepal Athletics Association being the first sports association in the country. Nepal received membership in the World Athletics Association in 1948 BS (1891 AD). The association is also known as the “Father of Sports in Nepal” and has been instrumental in organizing national and international athletics events.
